The Role

We are seeking a Manager, Early Childhood Intervention to lead the ongoing growth and sustainability of existing and new early childhood intervention programs. The programs are funded through the NDIS as well as other funding sources to support children with disability or developmental delay and their families.

This role will be responsible for the financial and operational management of these programs, working collaboratively with KU stakeholders to create innovative approaches to service provision in the following areas:

  • Early childhood intervention support in KU services, programs and other mainstream environments, e.g. Key Worker and therapy support
  • Supported playgroups
  • Early childhood intervention advisory support to KU Marcia Burgess Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre
  • Early Start Denver Model clinics, training and other parent programs


About you
To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline with experience working in Early Childhood Intervention or Early Childhood Education.
  • Strong knowledge of the early childhood education and early childhood intervention sectors, including a thorough understanding of NDIS and the child protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children to ensure that KU meets its legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing programs including monitoring and analysing financial reports to ensure that programs and services are operating effectively and meeting all reporting requirements.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise and build collaborative positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with a capacity to prepare reports, correspondence and presentations.
  • Excellent organisation skills including experience working with client management systems, databases and online portals
  • Ability to approach tasks with creativity and flexibility
  • Current driver’s licence and use of a comprehensively insured registered motor vehicle

The role is based in our Sydney CBD office and will require some travel to outer Sydney locations.
